Correlation between complications during delivery and neonatal mortality: Data analysis of Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2017

Background: Neonatal mortality is a death that occurs during the first twenty-eight days of life after baby born. Based on Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS data) in 2017, there was decrease neonatal between 2012 – but this has not yet reached SDG's target 12 deaths per 1,000 live births. Complications childbirth are one maternal factors directly cause pain to mother her or newborn due some disorders resulting from childbirth. One can influence complications delivery.Objective: This study aims observe correlation mortality. Also, reveal rate children born 2012-2017 controlling for all confounding.Methods: cross-sectional with an analytical observational approach using secondary data IDHS 2017. Its samples were women childbearing age (15-49 years) who have been married gave birth, last birth 5 years prior survey. inclusion criteria twin-birth as big 15.357. The sample selection used total sampling, obtained analysed by univariate, bivariate, multivariate analysis multiple logistic regression.Results: final model indicated significant relationship delivery variables age, ANC visits, baby's weight, gender PR 3,90 (95% C.I; 2.467 6.187).Conclusion: results revealed complications,
